Cintia Bortot is a qualitative researcher at EPIC. She coordinates and manages data collection across various multi-year projects and contributes to the analysis of research data. She currently serves as a research specialist on the Innovative Strategic Staffing and the Recurrent Low-Performing Schools and Districts (RLPSD) initiatives.

Cintia earned her Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa. Prior to joining EPIC, her work in the field of education spans over 14 years where she has worked in various educational capacities from French as a Second Language instructor for Federal Government employees in Canada’s capital, to co-instructing a summer Biology mini course at the University of Ottawa, to being a substitute teacher in both Canada and the US in both English and French to students K through 12. Her experience in the classroom has allowed her to gain valuable knowledge, insight, and understanding of the realities, challenges, and inequities in K-12 education.
